TURNING A NEGATIVE SITUATION INTO A POSITIVE ONE

How to turn a negative situation in to a positive one

Lindsey Cole has been affected by loss, grief and self harm. In this episode she shares her experiences of turning a harrowing time in her life, into a positive adventure. Lindsey is the kind of person who pushes herself and just goes for it.

You can also listen on iTunes and Spotify.

She has, so far, walked the length of the Rabbit Proof Fence, swam the length of the river Thames and cycled from the top to the bottom of Africa.

It makes me feel invincible, when I have an idea in my head, and I’m able to do it, there and then

Lindsey has had to deal with grief at a young age. Losing her father, when she was just 24, she threw herself into adventure, which, in her own words, is ‘the most wonderful medicine’. Her list of extreme achievements is such a long one, but includes cycling from Cairo to Cape Town, circumnavigating Australia with truck drivers, and in 2018, she swam the length of the River Thames, dressed as a mermaid (!), to raise awareness of plastic pollution in our waterways.

Thanks so much to Lindsey for this inspirational episode. I could have chatted for hours! Would love to know what kind of adventures you are planning too, let me know in the comments!
